Alexander Bannon

 

Mr. Bannon has eighteen years of legal experience, all in commercial and/or civil litigation. He has litigated cases relating to trade secrets, collection, insurance defense, construction, employment, shareholder valuation and contract related disputes. Mr. Bannon has taken cases from initial client interview through jury verdict, and has briefed and argued cases before the First, Fifth and Sixth District Courts of Appeal. For the past ten years, Mr. Bannon's practice has concentrated in construction law.

 

Mr. Bannon received a B.A. in Political Science/Public Administration from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 1979. While at Ramapo College, Mr. Bannon was recognized in Who's Who Among Students In American Universities, 1979, and was awarded the Outstanding Student Government Member Award, 1979.

 

Mr. Bannon obtained a joint degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he received a J.D. in 1983 (with great distinction) and a Master's in Public Administration from California State University, Sacramento in 1985. While at the University of the Pacific, Mr. Bannon was awarded the ABA Section of Urban, State and Local Government Award (1982), the Outstanding Student Achievement Award (1983) and was admitted to the Order of the Coif (1983).

 

Mr. Bannon served as clerk to the Honorable J.P. Vukasin, Federal District Court, 1984. Mr. Bannon was the author of Plea Bargaining and Delay in the Courts, Stauffer Research Fellowship, 1983, a co-author of How to Get Results in Collection of Delinquent Debts In California, NBI Inc., 1993, and an editor of the Northern District of California Digest, 1986-1988. Mr. Bannon has a member of the State Bar of California since December of 1983.
