Timothy L. McInerney
Mr. McInerney represents general contractors, subcontractors, owners, sureties and design professionals in all aspects and sizes of construction claims involving hospitals, prisons, commercial buildings, parking structures, bridges and geothermal plants. He has represented contractors in disputes involving bid protests, OSHA violations and licensing matters. He has extensive business experience in analyzing and drafting construction contracts. He also represents various business entities and individuals in real estate disputes and general business litigation matters.
Mr. McInerney has successfully tried numerous cases before state courts, federal courts and the Board of Contract Appeals. He has also arbitrated and mediated matters on behalf of his clients and argued cases before the California State Court of Appeals.
Mr. McInerney graduated from the University of Santa Clara with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1983 and holds an Engineering-in-Training Certificate from the State of California. While in school he worked as a field engineer on the construction of a large dam and major commercial building. He received his J.D. from McGeorge School of Law in 1986. Mr. McInerney also teaches a class in Construction Law for U.C. Berkeley Extension.
Mr. McInerney is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of the U.S. District Court in California.
